1) Job/Group Overview:
A hands-on developer is required to join Global Markets Credit Technology Development team in Japan to work with Japan Credit Flow and SCT trading desks.
Apart from providing business solutions on existing Credit systems and tools to the trading desks, the team is expected to focus initially on tactical platform and later on the strategic platform to streamline the business workflow. The strategic platform is expected to modernize the architecture, integrate with Global Markets technology strategic trade, market data, reference data components as well as external applications

2) Responsibilities:
The successful candidate would be expected to
・Work closely with the Japan Credit trading desk and quant to provide a solution to solve trader issues. The role also would involve liaison with regional user groups, technology teams to establish links with desk spreadsheet / application to global / regional platform.
・Work on extending electronic bond trading platform for both domestic and foreign bonds to digitalize deal/trade information between Trading, Head Sales, Branch Sales and Marketing department
・Modernize the architecture on transforming domestic credit applications and desk tools onto strategic global platform
・Experience working with small development team, strong team player, working within loose guidance but also under their own initiative, interacting directly with end users and being involved with all aspects of software development life cycle.
・Enhance and provide L3 support to existing Credit applications and tools to front office trading desks

・Good communication skills and be able to intelligently express ideas / or concepts to team, non-technical business users and / or developers of other corporate systems
・Working effectively in team, supporting and advising where required

Mandatory:
・Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent
・Knowledge of fixed income derivatives products, preferably in cash bond and credit derivatives
・3+ years working within front-office trading environment including rapid application development
・Strong design, object-oriented and core computer science skills
・Solid experience in programming languages like Java
・Solid experience with Python, Excel, VBA
・Strong VBA development experience
・Strong application architecture design
・Database knowledge with relational database
・Able to learn and pick up new concepts and be able to apply to development and project
・Proficient in English

Preferred:
・Proficient in Japanese in terms of read and write is a plus
・Ability to multi-task and context switch
・Be able to work independently
・Experience in development work on global scale
