仕事内容
The Role
-This commercial role at Moody’s Ratings is different from Moody’s Analytics (MA). This role deals with external stakeholders like the banks, bond issuers and sells credit ratings services, unlike MA sells risk mgmt solutions to clients
- This is an individual contributor who is responsible for the full sales lifecycle to ensure complete customer coverage for Sustainable Finance.
- This role will be part of a team of direct sales, commission-based professionals to deliver against sales targets (new sales, revenue, market coverage, customer retention, among others).
- Reports to the Head of Sustainable Finance Relationship Management for APAC and will work closely with other stakeholders, including the broader APAC coverage Relationship Management team in the Region.
-Own a territory in APAC (with a primary focus on Japan and Korea) and a portfolio across a diverse set of sector including corporate, financial, and public sectors. Responsible for the full sales lifecycle to ensure complete customer coverage.
- Drive relevance of Second Party Opinions (SPOs) and Net Zero Assessment (NZA) offered by the company in the region to a significantly higher level. This comes with an increased number of new SPO/NZA relationships through direct sales, leveraging the existing sales platforms within the company, and maximizing the number of business opportunities.
- Other critical output targets are customer retention, price capture. Targets segments are all potential and actual sustainable finance issuers - the position will need to build and nurture a strong network among intermediaries, other external stakeholders and influencers.
Responsibilities
-Directly manage a portfolio of customer and targets (expected to spend approximately 70% of their time meeting customers)
- Actively participate in the development and implementation of the Japan/Korea’s and broader APAC region strategic and tactical sales & marketing plan in close collaboration with the coverage Relationship Management team, the APAC Head and Global Head of Sustainable Finance Relationship Management
- Analyze and understand key underlying dynamics of Sustainable Finance in the region.
-Develop and run extensive outreach programs to target issuers and intermediaries, local industry associations and other stakeholders in the financial markets. Act as speaker or facilitator of expert panels in internal and external meetings and conferences
- Ensure delivery against input and output targets. Drive continuous service improvement with goal of revenue production and customer retention.
-In partnership with other senior sales staff, identify business opportunities for new product development through market and customer exposure
-Provide feedback on product needs/ideas/concepts to the Product Management Team. Work with marketing and product strategy teams to drive marketing initiatives.
-Find ways to use data and technology to drive sales enablement and efficiencies.

必要スキル
Skills and Competencies
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in a sales/business development role in the Financial Services industry
- Has knowledge in Sustainable Finance and ESG and familiar with financial sector and intermediaries in Japan/Korea market
- Proficient in Japanese and English is mandatory. Korean language will be an added advantage.
-Outstanding customer relationship management experience. As well as proven interaction and networking capabilities with regional industry bodies and associations including C-level.
- Proven track record of sales success, fast growth and consistently achieving commercial targets a must.
- Possess creative problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose issues and develop solutions. Ability to work both independently and within a team environment, with focus and high attention to detail
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or related area required
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in a sales/business development role in the Financial Services industry
